Help Cornelio start his Master's program

You all helped so much for Cornelio to finish his college degree, and now he has now been accepted as a Master´s student in Social Development  at the Colegio de Posgraduados in Puebla, Mexico.  Cornelio has done so well with his studies that he received a scholarship from CONACYT (the Mexican equivalent of NIH) to help pay for his studies.  Nevertheless, his scholarship will only start depositing his money in April and the program starts this January.  Because of this we are asking for an additional 2500 to the funds that have already been raised to help Cornelio move from the Yucatan to Puebla, and help to start his program.  The funds you donate will be use for the following:

Laptop: $800
Room rental for 3 months: $600
Program Registration fee: $400
Program fees for 3 months: $150
Books: $200
Living expenses: $350

Thank you all for the help you gave Cornelio to finish his first year of college!  Cornelio has finished year one with flying colors and we are now looking to raise money for year two where he will have the opportunity to apply what he has learned about tourism in a series of internships.  Here is a message from Cornelio (translation below):

Antes que nada quiero agradecerle a la gente de gofundme por su gran ayuda, gracias a lo que ustedes aportaron pude terminar mi primer año en la licenciatura, este primer año me ha permitido iniciar mi propio proyecto turistico que beneficiara a las comunidades mayas, su ayuda me ha permitido cubrir mis gastos de renta, comida y colegiatura.

Es por esta razon que acudo de nueva cuenta a solicitarles su colaboracion para poder juntar dineropara mi segundo año, esta vez tendre la oportunidad de prestar mis servicios a empresas de la riviera maya  las cuales evaluaran mi desarrollo como estudiante, pero para hacer esto posible necesitare mudarme un tiempo en la riviera maya, esta ocasión pido su ayuda para poder cubrir alguno de mis gastos, poniendo como garantia mis esfuerzos y toda mi dedicacion.

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone from gofundme for your enormous help.  Thanks to your support I was able to finish my first year of college.  This year I was able to start my own tourism project that will benefit Mayan communities and your support helped me pay my rent, my food, and my college expenses. 

I’m asking again for your support for my second year.  This coming year I will have the opportunity to participate in internships in the Mayan Rivera where my development as a (tourism) student will be assessed.  However, to do this I need to move to the Mayan Rivera and I’m asking for help to cover my expenses for this move.  I promise to fully dedicate myself to my studies.

This is a fund to help Cornelio pay for his first year of college at the Universidad de Oriente in Valladolid, Mexico.  Cornelio is excited to be the first person from his town to go to college.  He will be studying tourism, and hopes to get a job in one of the hotels in the Riviera Maya when he finishes his studies.  This fund will help get him on his way by helping pay his University, housing, and food expenses during his first year of study.  Cornelio thanks you for all your support!

Este es fondo de financiamiento para ayudar a Cornelio a pagar su primer año de liecenciatura en la Universidad de Oriente (ubicada en la ciudad de Valladolid, en el estado de Yucatán, México). Cornelio es la primer persona de su pueblo que asiste a la universidad, por lo cual está emocionado y muy orgulloso. Va a estudiar turismo y, al terminar sus estudios, espera obtener un trabajo en alguno de los hoteles que se ubican en la Riviera Maya. Este fondo lo ayudará a lograr estos objetivos al permitirle pagar -en su primer año- su universidad, y gastos de alojamiento y comida. ¡Cornelio les estará muy agradecido!
