Corky's Legacy of Love

 Coralynn "Corky" Burright will best be remembered as a "Mom" to anyone who came into her life!  She LOVED wholly and completely. She was generous with her time, her resources, her encouragement, and of course, her profound faith in Jesus.   She readily adopted anyone who was hurting or lost, selflessly taking each under her wing and doing her best to help get them back on their feet.  She opened her home to strangers; she fed the neighborhood; she was the ONE person you knew would accept your collect call at any hour of the night; YOUR emergency became her emergency and she would never turn away someone in need, no matter how big or how small that need was.   She has struggled with a genetic dibilitating and extremely rare disease called Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome that left her in chronic pain and unable to use her right leg for most of her adult life. She did not for a single moment, however, allow that to slow her down.  She kept her sharp, witty sense of humor and her warmth of heart.  When you walked into a room where Corky was, even if you had never met before, she made you feel like FAMILY immediately.  Not only does Corky leave behind three children and seven grandchildren of her own, the breadth of her effect on the many lives she touched cannot be measured.  She leaves also behind an adopted son, a foster daughter, nieces, nephews, and Sunday school children who all felt like SHE was their MOM too!  All donations will go towards cremation costs, her desired spreading of the ashes at sea, and the Celebration of Life she planned with her best friend, Pastor Jeff Wadleigh.  Any remaining donations will go towards her favorite endeavor, the Sunday school programming at Praise Community Fellowship.
