Cancer treatment for Corie Drewry

             As many of you know Corie Drewry was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer in September of 2019. This diagnosis has been emotionally and financially challenging for our family. With the size, location, and the complexity of the cancer, Corie has had to see multiple doctors, had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries already. Insurance has helped pay a percentage of the medical expenses but did not cover a majority of it. With more surgeries, doctor visits, and chemotherapy in the future bills will continue to come in. The next couple of months will be very hard on Corie as she will be recovering.
 
           What we know so far is that, the tumor will be removed along with parts of her colon, then she will have reconstructive surgery.
 
           On April 2, Corie has an appointment with UNC medical, this is when we should get a better understanding of the surgeries that will come, along with any treatments and medications that she will still need after surgery.
 
          How we plan on using any donations is to pay for, copays (Chemotherapy, Radiation, doctor visits), surgical bills (past and future), medications (pain management, anxiety, depression, sleep, infections), medical supplies (colostomy bags, wipes, gloves, adhesive remover, skin protection wipes), and fuel to travel to and from UNC-Chapel Hill.
