Coreys Walk

On June 13th 2021, we sadly lost Corey to knife crime. As a family,, we are still seeking justice for Corey as his killer has still not been found.

 

In the meantime, we want to put our grief and sadness into a good cause and give back to the community who have kindly helped us along the way with their kind words, support on social media and helping us with the cost of Corey's funeral.

 

We want to raise money to purchase an emergency bleed control kit to put in the city centre of Hull; if we are able to raise more funds than the cost of one, then we would like to have more around Hull, including the main road leading up to the city centre such as Beverly Road, Spring Bank.

 

A bleed kit could save someone's life. These are not just aimed at Knife crime but can assist in accidents that may cause significant harm, such as a car accident, a bad fall or a cycling accident.

 

The Bleed Control Kit is designed to stop mild to moderate bleeding. This Kit is designed and brought to the public with one goal in mind – stopping preventable deaths. The compact kit is designed to be used by anyone. We understand that not everyone knows how to provide life saving first aid, but everyone can follow an instruction leaflet. In fact more than 65% of people are visual learners and we have included simple QR code links that show visuals on how to use each particular piece of equipment.

 

Over the next few months, we will be fundraising ourselves to make as much money as possible to have these accessible to the community.

 

Our first event will be a sponsored walk on the 12th of June starting at Mcdonalds Holderness road up to 'Corey's walk', where his family and friends will walk in memory of Corey coming up to the one-year anniversary of his passing.
