My name is Greg Hubert from Torrance, CA and I work with Corey Franklin at Edwards Lifesciences as his manager. His story moved me and many I know at our company, which is what prompted me to initiate this fund raising page on his behalf.
Last week we all watched in anguish as Southeastern Texas and the city of Houston were pummeled by Hurricane Harvey and saw the images of the flooding a destruction taking place. Unfortunately one of our new Clinical Specialist's, Corey Franklin, was affected by the flooding. Corey was out covering cases when the hurricane hit and due to the flooding he could not return home. He continued to cover cases while being displaced until the roads became passable and when he was finally able to make it home he found that the entire first floor of his tri-levelhouse, including his car, and part of the second floor had flooded. Thanks to the help of some amazing family and friends Corey is well on his way to recovering and rebuilding and hopefully will be back to normal soon.
Corey did not have flood insurance and does not know what level FEMA might provide support. He has spent approximately $15,000 so far on materials and labor to his home, and may need a bit more with painting and small fixes to his home.
Our fundraising goal is $16,500 for Corey. Please help in any way you feel led. Corey will use these funds as soon as possible since he already spent the money for this unplanned natural disaster.
