Honoring Corey: Support her family in their time of loss

This fundraiser has been created in memory of our beloved Corey D'Angelo Paoletti.

**All funds raised will go to her husband, Jacob Paoletti, and their 3 year old daughter, Jamie.**

For all those who knew her, Corey was an infectious soul, she was the human embodiment of love and kindness with a wicked sense of humor. She was also an incredible nurse. Over 10 years she worked as a nurse at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula on Main West. She truly loved her job. Her kind nature, sincerity, and bubbly personality changed the lives of all the patients and coworkers who came into contact with her.

Corey and Jacob were a perfect match. They brought happiness to everyone in their orbit and started their most wonderful adventure - bringing their miraculous Jamie Joy into the world 3 years ago. Corey loved being a mom and wanted to raise her daughter amongst family, which is why she and Jacob chose to buy a duplex with her sister and brother in-law. For two years they lived next door and watched Jamie grow alongside her dog Penny and cousins Annie and Sam.

When her cancer returned, Corey continued her nursing career and maintained a loving hands-on approach to her favorite job of all - mothering Jamie. She showed up to everything, no matter how she felt, to spend time with her loved ones and never failed to check in on how people were. She was and is our hero. Corey, a wife, mother, daughter, auntie, sister, cousin, niece and cherished friend went to heaven on April 18th, 2024, at just 32 years old, surrounded by her family.

Together, Corey’s nursing job and Jacob’s teaching job have provided a wonderful life for their little family in Pacific Grove. They both dedicated their careers to helping other people. Now, we want to support Jacob and Jamie in every way we can without Corey’s financial contributions to relieve any financial stresses as he raises Jamie on his own.
