Corbin's Memorial

He spent exactly five short weeks etching his name into our hearts and then he suddenly decided it was time to go.  With this terrible year it is heart wrenching to know nobody except me and David and his cousin Shanna (by a weird coinsidence) got to see his beautiful eyes in real life.  To everyone, the first time they met him was also the day they were putting stickers on his coffin lid.
  To that point of giving family a place to go to to see him in Bluff Creek Cemetery and to provide one point of closure for me, he needs his memorial up.  We had saved money beforehand and weve been saving since he passed and we have declined offers to assist in the cost of it because we were trying to do it ourselves. He was in the hospital his whole life, so during his life we never got to give him a pacifier, hold a bottle for him, wipe his little nose or even choose  a cute outfit for him...but we could at least do this for him.  You know?
   After my two emergency room visits and one overnight, then the big day that resulted in Corbin's emergency birth and me being in the hospital for a week and Corbin in NICU for a month...the medical bills are starting to flow in.  Even with this, we thought we had finally accumulated enough, but then one of our cars completely died and was in the shop needing massive repairs for two weeks.  After that immense drain we went to Schlitzberger and Daughters to see if what we had left would do it...it wasn't.
    That was almost a month ago now and even with the little extra I got this month for the school district and David's overtime we are not going to be able to give Corbin his marker for quite a while longer.  
    I know his little soul is not there but he needs a house so people can find him if they want to visit. It is important to me and my ability to take a step in reaching another significant closure in My personal grief process.
    I've never paid for a memorial and was shocked at the price.....but.....I assure you the "goal" is a small, regular gray one with installation and delivery fee.  That is $1894 then tax

Of course, even if we are needing to continue to save for the entire amount, we will.  Corbin will get his headstone in the end.  This go-fund-me determines when that happens unfortunately.

We love you all and even if you don't donate, that's OK.  Sitting here reading about Corbin for the minute this took was now a minute with him on your mind.
