Yes...I'm a mom. A newly single mom. A mom with 3 amazing kids!
Unfortunate circumstances brought me to a humble place of crying out to my village...my community.
I want to DREAM BIG for my oldest daughter Coral. She is 10 and mature beyond her years. Her interest for volleyball began last year...Cassie Strickland who plays for UDUB was a huge influence and role model.
I took a leap of faith and signed Coral up for "try outs". Had NO idea what to expect.
Let me put it this way...I watched my little girl face her nerves and pour her heart into each and every bit of that 3 hour try out.
I saw a side of her that came ALIVE.
As did the coach for the U12 Black team...Coral was selected to play club volleyball with a group of 12 other girls. It's a HUGE honor and you should've heard the screams coming out of my car that night!! Haha!!
I HATE the thought that money would rob anyone of these moments. I cried myself to sleep when the financial reality kicked in. I didn't say anything to Coral to avoid burdening her....and that's where I am now.
I'm reaching out to all my family and friends to tell them...THIS is a way to help. My daughter WANTS to play volleyball!
My youngest daughter is gearing up for her third open heart surgery and that takes time and money away from my heart healthy kids. I want to give Coral this moment!
Thanks everyone for LOVING me and my 3 kiddos so incredibly!
