Coolmine Rugby's Race to Rome

Donation protected
Members of the Coolmine Rugby Club have decided to participate in a fund raising challenge in aid of Pieta House. Players and coaches will be running from Coolmine Rugby Club to the home stadium of each team competing in the 6 Nations Championship.

The route of our journey will be as follows;

The first leg of our journey will commence on the 11th of January, 2021 which will us see virtually run from Coolmine Rugby Club, our home ground, taking in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on our way to Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. Our second leg sees us travel down to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The third leg will see us visit Twickenham Stadium in London. Our fourth leg will see us cross the channel into France to visit Stade de France in Paris. Our final leg, and the longest leg will see us finish in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Our aim is to complete this challenge before kick-off of the 6 Nations Championship in Rome at 14:15 on the 6th of February, 2021.

The total distance we will run is 2500 km. This is massive undertaking on behalf of players and coaches a like. All proceeds raised will be donated to Pieta House. We cannot think of a better charity to benefit from this challenge, and we hope to see your support.
