Cooke Family Tragedy

Michael "Bryan" Cooke was a loving husband and doting father of 5 year old Sophia. He supported his family through hard work and led the worship team at church on Sundays. Bryan never met a stranger. He loved nothing more than making new friends and developing deep connections with others.
Bryan was senselessly murdered during an attempted robbery on February 23 on a job site in North Charleston. Bryan’s wife, Jenna, is left with no husband and no father for Sophia. Worse, Jenna and Sophia are left with a huge hole in their lives. Nothing can bring Bryan back. Nothing can bring back his larger than life heart for others. Jenna and Sophia are devastated.
This GoFundMe page is dedicated to the memory of Bryan and to the support of Sophia and Jenna as they try to put their lives back together. Bryan leaves behind a family for whom he was the primary supporter. This family is left with nothing. Jenna has stayed home in recent years to raise Sophia.
As if this wasn't bad enough, Bryan's father, our Uncle Mike, who is a pastor in Mount Pleasant was wounded in the commission of the crime. Mike was shot 4 times, including once in the face. Mike has survived against the odds. Mike has helped numerous people in our community and has led a non-denominational church in Mount Pleasant since 2007.
If you are able, we are asking for donations to help fund Bryan’s burial and the ongoing support of Jenna and Sophia as well as Mike's rehabiliation as they work to get back on their feet. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Money won’t fix everything, but it will give Jenna and Mike some peace of mind in this difficult time.
