Contributions to Sienna's work on TheEscortPod

Indulge me in my train of thought on this matter for a moment.
The minimum wage in Ontario is currently $14/hr. In the past ten months I've worked full-time on this podcast. Entirely of my own volition, of course. This is a hint as to why I've chosen the figure I have as an amount to fundraise (taxes will still be deducted afterwards of course).

Many of you have stated you'd like to contribute to the costs of equipment, labour, hosting, production, and everything else that has gone into making the podcast. I thought this platform may be the best way to offer that option for those interested. 

I chose to do this podcast purely as a form of advocacy to destigmatize; a way to offer up reliable data of first-hand accounts and lived experience. I couldn't imagine a  better bank of information on the industry than hearing directly from those involved in it.

I really never expected to profit off this project in any way, and I haven't to date. Those of you who have contributed to Patreon, thank you! It hasn't gone unnoticed but it is around a thousand dollars in total after taxes.

I have come to the realization that I cannot work a full-time job for free forever (huge surprise). It takes a huge toll on my ability to live my life, work on other projects, and take care of my own mental health. I have absolutely loved every second of the work I've undertaken with this podcast. I would love to keep doing it. It's simply no longer possible doing so pro bono.

I will inevitably do a season 2 because I cannot help myself, there is so much more about this industry I need to share with the world! So many more individuals dying to share their lived experience. I will continue the work, and hope I find a way to recuperate expenses in some way so I can stay sane. Paying content creators for their content needs to become more of a trend.
