My son, Connor, has been blessed with an opportunity to be a Student Ambassador for his school's Cultural Immersion Program (Study Abroad) to China and attend school. He will be among the first 8th graders in the South Redford school district selected to participate in this program, as it tradionally has only been available for Thurston High School children.
Connor has been a local ambassador for the program for three years. He was selected in the 5th grade as a student host, where he was shadowed, short term, by students from TongShengHu International School. Connor now has been selected and vetted to attend Tongshenghu International Experimental School, located in Changsha, China, and complete his first semester 8th grade year at the boarding school during the week, and live with a host family on the weekends.
The program runs from September 2017 - December 2017. During his stay, Connor will continue to learn Manadrin and experience the Chinese culture first-hand. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The program provides the flight to China , and room/board. However, there are expenses that I am not able to cover alone. This is where I need your help. If you know me, as most of you do, you know that I don't ask for help often, if ever, so please know that this opportunity is very important to both Connor and I. I pray that you will help me send me my son to China, by making a donation, knowing and understanding that his success is your return on investment!

Weekly spending money and incidentals for 18 weeks
