Conner get his smile back

Before I begin, I want to thank you for taking the time to consider donating. We are in a very tough time and are looking for any help that you can give.

This is Conner. Conner is 21 years old and has been put through the wringer for most of his life. Conner was born without 13 adult teeth, which means he still has most of his baby teeth, which are starting to disintegrate. As a result, he requires seven implants, which will be an excruciating and prolonged recovery. We have known about this since he was 10 years old. Luckily, because he was still relatively young when we found this out, we went through a program with SickKids hospital, and we started the process of getting his teeth fixed when he was 10. He has been through 2 separate sets of braces and multiple retainers to get him set up for the implants and bridges. It has been a very long 11 years of orthodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics appointments, but he is now in the final stages of having the implants and bridges done. This is a very costly and painful procedure.

Ever since 2009, Conner's dad has been on permanent disability due to being in a severe car accident and is no longer able to work or bring in any income. I am a contract dog walker and work 7 days a week to keep food on the table and the bills being paid on time. With that being said, we, unfortunately, do not have benefits to help with any of the dental procedures that Conner has had and will need to be done. Even with the program through SickKids, we still have to pay about $10,000.00 to allow Conner to feel confident and happy with his smile.

Conner is a kind, generous and caring person. He was in the 2VandenBos Air Cadet Squadron for 7 years, and has raised thousands of dollars for Wounded Warriors, Movember and for his Cadet squadron in past years. He is always thinking of new projects to take on to help the community and people around him, and the next fundraising project he hopes to do is for mental health.

If there is anything you can do or give, we all would be greatly appreciated. This has been a very long and gruelling 11 years and to see Conner smile with a real smile again would make us all very happy.
