Help baby MM grow & know what life has to offer

Baby MM (Markisha Mayzee) is now 3 months old. Her parents did not know at first that she was born with Congenital heart disease until she was 1 month old when she had to be hospitalized due to Pneumonia.

Her doctor found out that she has a single ventricle with Malposed Great arteries. In a normal human anatomy, there should be 2 ventricles. Originally, her cardiologist suggested that the surgery can be done once she turns 6 months old. However, after her last check up, cardiologist suggested to do the surgery sooner because Baby MM is having difficulty drinking milk , she have also been diagnosed with Pulmonary Artery hypertension. She is currently on Digoxin to support her heart and other medications such as Furosemide and Spironolactone to prevent edema or swelling.

A surgery is urgently needed on 14th of June for her to have a chance to grow and prevent further complications. She will have a total of 3 surgeries . The first one will be this June, then after 1 year and then again once she turns 4 years old which will really be costly.

The first surgery is called Pulmonary Artery Banding to reduce pulmonary artery pressure and excess pulmonary blood flow. They will need to insert a band around the Pulmonary Artery to reduce blood flow in the lungs. 

The surgery would cost approximately Philippine pesos 300,000  ( US$6,000) exclusive of medications, further follow ups and we are uncertain if this already includes the doctors fees. In the Philippines, they will NOT do the surgery until FULL payment is made.

Our cousin is a farmer and his wife is a teacher. They do not have good insurance and are not able to afford to pay this huge amount for Baby MM's surgery on their own.

Our family is now asking and knocking on your hearts to help us raise the funds needed for baby MM’s life saving surgery.
