Computers for orphanage in Kenya
We need your help!
The orphanage computers burned down and the children can’t communicate with their mentors.
The orphanage Tuwape Tumaini “Children’s Hope Home” in Kenya need your help. They are part of the NGO Global Mentor Aid (GMA) online mentoring program, where an English speaking adult mentor anywhere in the world, talk directly online via Skype with a young person at the orphanage, to inspire them to live their dream.

These children had just started to feel seen by the world through their mentors. Their self-esteem had raised and they felt motivated to use their inner and outer strength to take steps towards their personal dreams. Because of an electrical fault all their equipment burned down, including the computers and now they have no more connection.

2015 Mats and Maria Löfkvist brother and sister from Sweden started the NGO, Global Mentor Aid with a direct online mentoring program to inspire young poor people to live their dream. The mentoring program is free for everyone and has so far been funded out of our pockets. To start the project, we went to Kenya and donated some computers to this isolated orphanage outside of Nairobi in Kenya.

We have published the book “Yes, You can! Live your dream” a 12-step manual designed with easy-to-use, effective exercises to make your dream into reality. It is a tool for the mentor to follow to know how to talk, inspire and motivate the young person to live their dream and to create a sustainable future for themselves. Since we started the mentoring program the children have been talking weekly with their mentor but now we lost connection.

Second, we need your kind donation to develop this wonderful program for other young poor people to have access to a mentor online. Our book is translated into Spanish and with your help, we will start the mentoring program in Mexico 2018.

Las computadoras del orfanato se quemaron y los niños no pueden comunicarse con sus mentores.
El orfanato Tuwape Tumaini “Children’s Hope Home” en Kenia necesita de tu ayuda. Ellos son parte del programa de mentores en línea NGO Global Mentor Aid (GMA), en el cual un adulto en cualquier parte del mundo que hable Inglés conversa directamente via Skype con un joven del orfanato para motivarlo a vivir su sueño.
Estos niños, a través de sus mentores, apenas han comenzado a tener contacto con el mundo. Su autoestima ha crecido y se sienten motivados a utilizar su fuerza tanto interna como externa para tomar los pasos que los conduzcan a sus sueños personales. Debido a una falla eléctrica, todo su equipo se quemó, incluyendo las computadoras, por lo que ahora no tienen conexión.
Mats y María Löfkvist, originarios de Suecia, iniciamos en el 2015 el programa NGO, Global Mentor Aid con un programa de mentores en línea para motivar a jóvenes de escasos recursos a vivir su sueño.
El programa de mentores no tiene costo y hasta ahora ha sido financiado de nuestros bolsillos. Para iniciar el proyecto viajamos a Kenia y donamos algunas computadoras a este apartado orfanato, localizado en Nairobi.
Publicamos el libro “¡Si, Tu Puedes! Vive tu Sueño”, un manual de 12 pasos diseñado con ejercicios prácticos y fáciles para hacer tu sueño realidad. Es una herramienta que guía al mentor para hablar, inspirar y motivar a los jóvenes a vivir su sueño y crear un futuro sustentable. Ambos utilizan el libro mientras conversan en línea.

Desde el comienzo los chicos han estado hablando con su mentor cada semana pero ahora hemos perdido la conexión. Por favor ayúdanos a ayudar a los chicos.
