Computer mouse that saves your job

Hi everyone!

I work from home remotely in Alberta, Canada. This idea first came to me late in 2022 when I had seen news and reports of increased corporate monitoring of employees who work from home either on a hybrid or fully remote basis. While also being a negative recipient of this, I decided to do something about it and create a functioning product that I had in mind, as I could not find what I was looking for with what’s currently out there.

Real life happens, there are things you need to attend to that may take your time away from the desk. Honest hard-working people shouldn’t have to worry about losing a job over what the proper etiquette is for taking breaks. As more and more people start to work in some capacity from home, and with corporation’s setup the way they are setup for profits, more of this micro monitoring is going to happen.

So, I’d like to create a product that will let people take breaks from work while at home in peace. I have never attempted to create a product before from scratch, and upon doing some more research, I realized the cost to get a working prototype is higher than I expected. I still end up wanting to create the product as I didn’t want anyone to lose a job simply over “taking a longer break than expected”. Hence the request here.

The product will be a high-tech mouse that will generate mouse and keyboard actions to prevent being detected from being away from keyboard, AFK. Some features I’m planning include:

-Auto movement of the mouse without user touching the mouse

-Auto click feature for the mouse to click on its own

-Record feature for both keystrokes and mouse actions, with ability to save, open and re-use the script(s). This would also include opening files, closing files, adding text, removing text, and effectively any mouse or keyboard action

-Custom hotkeys to be able to pay, stop, pause and re-use previous recorded actions

-Set actions to occur during different times and days, like an alarm clock

I’ll be using the money raised to pay for costs such as:

-Designing of the prototype

-Buying necessary parts

-Building a working prototype

-Testing of prototype and rework

-Brand and logo creation

-Website creation

I’ve never felt the passion for a product like this before, as it’s been created in service of others, good hard working everyday people!
