This GoFundMe was set up because we want to rally behind someone in our community who was put in an unfortunate situation.
On January 27, 2021, John, like many others, had his car towed following a parking ban due to the snow.
However, when he went to retrieve his vehicle from Early's Towing on Park Ave, he discovered that the money he had unfortunately left in his car the night prior had been stolen. He intended to use the money towards his rent as well as the tow fee.
Once he realized the money was missing, he was rightfully upset. The police were eventually called and instead of the Worcester Police Department investigating the theft and the tow company's involvement, they ended up arresting John for "trespassing".John had unfortunately lost his job recently and has been out here just trying to make ends meet like everyone else.
It is heartbreaking and unfortunate to simultaneously have your car towed, your rent money stolen, and getting arrested when you report the theft.
I hope we can raise some money to help him out even if it's just for a little bit.
