Community Hero Good Samaritan

On June 21, 2021 a man in a large truck struck another person and proceeded to back up over the man killing him. Nikki was in her vehicle in the turning lane when she saw what happened. She jumped out of her vehicle leaving it in that lane and ran over to help the man not knowing that the driver would soon have her in his sight. While she was helping that man the driver of the truck turned around and hit her. He would leave the scene and around the corner he assaulted more people.

Unfortunately Nikki would be the only person to stop to help and after she was hit she crawled out of harms way until paramedics arrived.

Nikki was hospitalized with major injuries to her legs. She had surgery to place a large rod through her knee down her leg. This treatment is just the start of a long road of doctor visits and therapy.

Nikki is a single mother of three children. She is the sole supporter of her little family. Her employment is in caregiving and as you can imagine will be unable to return to her beloved career for sometime. Nikki has always had a passion to help others and stopping to help that man is in her DNA. Nikki would do this again tomorrow if she had to. Currently she will not have an income and will rely on family and friends for assistance from household needs to the needs of her children and medical.
