I am calling on friends of Anita & Moose Kingsley. They are facing some rough times in the months ahead. Both on an emotional and financial level and they need our help.
In April, as many of you know, Anita was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. (Bone Cancer) She has been undergoing chemo treatments since her diagnoses.. The doctors have treated the cancer very
aggressively to be able to get Anita in remission so that she can have a Stem Cell /Bone Marrow Transplant. This will be done at Moffitt in Tampa the end of September .
Anita has to have 24/7 care. Moose will be right by his beautiful wife through it all. They will have to stay in a sterilized motel room for several weeks. This motel is affiliated with Moffitt just for cancer patience going through this type of treatment. Everything has to be sterilized. Right down to the cooking utensils. Every time before and after use. No matter what it is. No food prepared from outside. They cannot take any chances that one germ can attack Anita's system.
As we all know motels can be costly on a vacation. This will be a long stay with a lot of out of pocket expenses such as food, lots of bleach, sterile supplies, gas to and from Moffitt, etc. laundry just to name a few. There is also rent, electric and water at their house in Auburndale. Moose is the only income and he has to be at Moffitt. This means weeks without a paycheck.
If there is any way you can find it in your hearts to help Anita and Moose they will be so grateful. It took a lot to convince Anita that it is ok to need and ask for help. This has been a tough time for her and I don't want her to worry about finances. None of us do. So it there is anything you can do it will be so appreciated. There is some insurance but it barely touches the long stay and it has to be reimbursed so the initial cost is out of pocket. Reimbursement takes a while sometimes.
Anita, Prayers are going up for you, Moose and the entire family. You are very loved.
