Come Home Logan

Donation protected
Chris and I are asking for healing thoughts, prayers, and any assistance possible for our puppy, Logan. He just celebrated his 2nd birthday. He was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon (March 10th) when he unknowingly got outside at the studio where Chris works. He is alive, but not in good shape. Anyone who knows us knows how obsessed we are with our little pup- he is our baby, he is our world. We are absolutely sick with grief.

Logan is currently in an oxygen tank at Penn Vet ER with bruised lungs with fluid in them. When he was admitted, they told us that he would likely need spinal surgery in the coming days, but we wouldn't know specifics until they were able to take X-rays which couldn't happen until he was more stable and breathing on his own. He was unable to move his back legs and there is still a chance he may never walk again. He suffered brain trauma from the impact and has a long stay in the ICU ahead of him.

In our last update from the overnight doctors, Logan has reportedly moved both his back legs and can feel pain in them which, while heartbreaking, is a good sign and means that he is not paralyzed and there most likely isn't severe spinal damage. He also has "more than a 50/50 shot" at walking again. He will still need to have surgery, as his pelvis is broken in many places, but that is apparently a much less invasive surgery.

The driver that hit him didn't stop or even slow down. Luckily there was an amazing man across the street who witnessed everything and removed Logan from the street. He saved his life. Apparently there may be some video footage from a nearby security camera of the truck that hit him. If found, I will share that as well in hopes of finding who did this to him.

His vet bills will cost anywhere from $7,000-$10,000. Possibly more.

He is named after Wolverine, so we are hoping he can harness the super healing powers and adamantium bones. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity, and for your support in this horribly difficult time.

Love,
Chris & Kristen
