Combination Orphanage and School

Hi, my name is Richard Bain, and I'm fundraising for a combined orphanage and school to be built in Uganda. Here is the story:

His name is Gumpi Andrew Cohen. He is a citizen of Uganda and a teacher, but he is also a man of faith and a dreamer. His dream now is to build a combination school and orphanage. His organization is FER Ascender Fellowship Kaliro. Unfortunately, his part of Uganda has many orphans. The school will be both for the orphans in the building and for the children of low-income families. There are few free public schools in Uganda, and many low-income families can’t afford to pay the fees of the for-profit schools. Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world. Gumpi and his group hope to increase the education level of their area, which will help reduce poverty in his area and in Uganda.

His group has already obtained two acres of land. It has begun some work to prepare for building the combined school-orphanage FER Integrated Community Schools Nursery and Primary Schools project. Unfortunately, the project has no funding yet, is running out of credit for supplies, and has no funds for workers and teachers. He is hoping to raise $100,000 for the construction costs.

Gumpi plans to ask for donations to build and maintain the combined school orphanage and ask higher income families with children in the school to pay reasonable fees.

Gumpi recently established a school at an orphanage with 50 children. The picture shows some of the orphans and teachers. The orphans are holding textbooks supplied by Gumpi’s organization and a donor. These children and those of poor families have no hope for a decent future without an education.
