Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of NO LIMITS (SOUTH) and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

May 4th 2021, my beautiful brother Max took his own life. A life that was short lived but lived to the max. He was an awesome musician and enjoyed performing arts. He was a happy boy that was always positive and kind, someone that would always make people laugh and smile, even when they were feeling down.

Max started to struggle with his mental health last year during the pandemic. Lots of children struggled with the lack of physical interaction with friends and not being at school played a big part in these struggles. The start of this year was hard for him as the mental health problems became worse. He was supported by our family and was offered help from lots of areas. He had attended sessions with No Limits and their Breakout Youth Club.

Max found it increasingly difficult to get back into school. A part of this was due to people forgetting to be kind. It's become easier for young people to communicate through social media and this leads to people being cruel and unkind without realising the consequences of their words. Max had problems towards the end with these issues and everything become too much for him to cope with.

As his big brother and best friend, I want to do everything I can to show support to other young people struggling with Mental health problems. Myself and a group of close friends will be taking part in the Colour Run on July 24th in Bath for Max and for the charity No Limits. As well as the Colour Run, we will be doing other events so keep an eye on the page for updates, as well as social media.

No Limits is a charity offering free and confidential information, advice, counselling, advocacy and support to children and young people under the age of 26 in Southampton and Hampshire. Young people can come to No Limits for free support on a wide range of issues including housing, homelessness, debt, employment, relationships, sexual health, mental health and substance misuse. Support is offered at the No Limits Advice Centre in Central Southampton, through outreach work delivered in schools and colleges across Hampshire, in the Emergency Department at two Hampshire hospitals and virtually via phone, email, web chat and Zoom.

The No Limits website explains how your donations will help and what the money will go towards. Having met a member of the team who's supported me since the passing of Max, and being in regular contact with them, I know the money would do great things for the charity and will help lots of young people.

If you are a young person struggling with any of the issues mentioned above, No Limits are there to help. There are lots of other charities that can offer support for anyone older that feel they need support and help so please reach out.

Thank you to everyone that reads this, shares the page and donates. Any donation, big or small will make a difference.
