Colorado 500 Alumni Scholarship

The Colorado 500 has had a positive impact on all of our lives in some way. Since 1975, the Colorado 500 has donated over two million dollars to a long list of various organizations and schools.
The first college scholarship was given in 1993 and every year since, they have changed the lives of Basalt High School graduates with scholarships to college.
Over the years our scholarship recipients have pursued their college dreams and have become successful in various trades, and now have positive impacts on those around them, no matter what community they are apart of.
Wally and Peppy have been extremely generous, and therefore a Colorado 500 Scholarship Alumni group is being created, to show our appreciation and continue giving back to this great charity and the great students at BHS.
Choosing the students who recieve the scholarships is extremely difficult! The goal is to raise at least $5,000 to be able to offer a scholarship to a BHS student every year. This scholarship will be given from the Alumni group.
We understand that not all alumni members live in Basalt, but you can still help make a difference and give back to the 500 by donating to this Alumni Scholarship fund!
The 42nd Annual Colorado 500 Charity Dirt Bike ride begins on August 21, 2017. Our goal is to be able to present at least $2,000.00 to the Alumni Scholarship at the kick-off banquet on August 20th.
If all alumni members donate, I truly think we can reach our goal and continue to change lives and give back to an organization that gave us all so much!
