COLON CANCER STAGE 4, HELP WITH INSURANCE PREMIUMS
Donation protected
My name is Carlos Trevizo Jr. I'm 48 years old. On July 9th, 2020 I received terrible news. The results of my colonoscopy showed that I had an 18 cm. mass and that it was cancerous. On July 24th, 2020 I had surgery to remove the tumor. The pathology report revealed that the cancer had spread and I am stage 4. Since then I have had 5 chemotherapy sessions and I am scheduled for my next chemo session in Lancaster in the Kaiser Butterfly building on December 14, 2020. As a result of my sudden illness, I have not worked as an auto mechanic at Robertson Palmdale Honda since July 18th, 2020. Every month since I have been off of work, I am still paying $1270 a month for my health insurance. I pay my employer on a monthly basis and this is an extreme hardship for me mentally and financially. The insurance payment is that is due now is for November and this months premium will be due before the end of the month. I need to keep my Kaiser health insurance because my Oncologist and the Kaiser team are really taking care of my health. I just need a break from the financial stress and so that I can catch up on my financial obligations and just focus on healing. I have always been a hard worker and not being able to work has really affected me mentally. I thank you all in advance for your thought and prayers and generosity.
Update as of February 16, 2021
I want to thank everyone for your kindness and donations, prayers and support. This is such a hard battle. I had a major setback because I caught Covid last month. My chemotherapy was postponed for 4 weeks. My tumor markers had dropped from 900 something down to 358 but because of the delay in my chemotherapy my tumor markers are now back up to 793. I have now resumed my chemotherapy and I’m hoping and praying that my tumor markers drop again. I’m so scared and my oncologist says that I will have to be chemotherapy for another 6 months. Thank you everyone.
God Bless You All.
