College Help For Children After Mother Tragically Killed

On behalf of my beloved cousin, Alison "Kate" Laporta and her two children, our family is asking for help. Tragically, Kate was recently shot and killed by her boyfriend in Fairfax, Virginia on April 17, 2024. This plea for help aims to raise funds for the college education of Kate's two amazing children.
Kate was taken from us at the young age of 38, leaving behind two sweet children: her son, Conner (10), and her daughter, Katlin (20). Kate was a strong and loving mom. Kate worked as a dedicated Safeway employee for over six years where she started as a cashier and worked her way up to management. It was Kate's dream that her children would one day graduate from college. As Katlin's Godmother, I am determined to fulfil Kate's dream. I plan to distribute the donated funds equally to individual 529 college savings plans for both children.
