College Fund for Connor & Kaitlyn O'Hare

Tim had a heart of gold; he would do anything for anyone. I'm sure you would agree if you were lucky enough to know him. It's been a little under two years since he was first diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but this morning he lost his battle, leaving behind the love of his life, Lisa and his two beautiful children, Connor and Kaitlyn.

Tim and Lisa never liked asking for help, even for the smallest things. They were always so generous to others but had difficulty accepting anything from anyone. I yelled at them (in a nice way), saying it was time to let us all pitch in. I made a promise to my dear friend before he died. I promised to help get Lisa and the kids through this and always be there for them.

A lot of people have asked what they can do. The next few months and years will be challenging for them all. Connor will be graduating next year, and Kaitlyn a few years later. As stubborn as he was, I believe Tim would have comfort in knowing that his kids would have some help with their education, and Lisa would not be on her own to get them through it.

I'll never forget when we met 11 years ago when the boys were in kindergarten. Tim was working the night shift and told me he liked working it because he did not want to miss any part of his kids growing up. He said he could sleep later in life but never have these moments again. He would have done anything for his wife and kids, so I know this is the best way to honor him.

We love you, Timmy. Rest in peace. Lisa, Connor and Kaitlyn, you are not alone; you have one hell of an angel looking over you now.
