The good news and the bad...
"So bad first...you DO have breast cancer,
and the good news is...breast cancer is cureable."
That was the news my sister received in 2015. There was also a small 1% possibility that the treatment for breast cancer would cause leukemia in 3-5 years.
Coleen was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in Oct.2016, and has spent the last 100+ days out of the last 6 months confined to her room at DHMC Norris Cancer Center fighting for her life.
Her last treatment received was a stem cell transplant in April 2017. She is home now resting, still fighting,tired, and suffering from side effects from the anti-rejection medication. Still on a long road to recovery. Coleen will not be allowed to work for 1-2 years.
Coleen grew up in Manchester,and is still living on the family farm.She graduated from BBS and was the salutatorian of her class. Coleen has taken care of your pets for the last 34 years. She now needs your help.
