Coleen's Remembrance of Mika

Hello Fellow ETLers!
As you may have heard Coleen’s niece, Mika McKinney passed away last week. Marcie and I were thinking it would be nice to donate in Mika’s name to a preserve that Coleen frequents. We are looking into a bench in remembrance of Mika.
Marcie will create a GoFundMe site where donations can be made. Maybe we can all add our ETL year to any comment area. Any amount you can donate is worthy! In the meantime, we can all send Coleen acres of love and hold her in our hearts.

UPDATES
A chat began in messenger using the ETL Facebook group- there was a lot of interest, support, and ideas. It's been great and Coleen will feel so loved!
Don is working with local woodworkers to craft a bench to be placed in one of the Preserves within the Bold Coast and Maine Coast Heritage Trail system (Hamilton Cove, Boothead, Western Head) (Meg suggested after the surprise is revealed having Coleen pick the spot for the bench!)
Don has made contact with Melissa Lee and other Maine Coast Heritage Trust individuals so that we have a point of contact to donate remaining money to support trails Coleen loves and that she introduced us all to!
Gayle Bowness found a poem that Coleen posted online that Mika wrote that could be added to a plaque.
We should probably choose words to indicate on the plaque 1. in remembrance of Mika and something about Coleen 2. from ETL (Someone interested in crafting this?)
I (Marcie) has been trying to track down addresses to try to include everyone and not just Facebook members in an organized way by cohort but has hit some roadblocks. I prefer to keep it a surprise (and not spoil anything by asking Coleen for that reunion list but am open to it if others think we should). I'd love to rely on the ETL community. Many have already stepped up as leaders and wanting to help and I think we can pull it off. We need some people to champion each cohort and just do their best to reach as many people as possible. For example, I have all the contact for ETL 10 cohort. Gayle already added all or most of her cohort (15?) to the chat-maybe some are not on Facebook. Ursula had the same idea and offered to champion things and pass on info to ETL 9(?) Ok, so do we have people who can help spread the word to all the other cohorts??
Many people have responded and I may have mixed up info or missed something. I apologize. If I missed something please send me an individual message on Facebook or my email [E-Mail ausgeblendet] instead of replying to the group message in Messenger because it's easier for me to keep track that way :) and I will share it out in this way.
As with all things ETL and as the tides ebb and flow, I am sure this will evolve and grow with this lovely community working together. Thank you!
*I just put the suggested goal of $1000 because I had no idea what kind of money could be raised when all these badass ETL folks get together, so more or less, it's all good!
