Cold Cap Care in Honor of Dr. Jen Katrein

Dr. Jen Katrein is an amazing, caring individual who we know and love. She always is there for us, so this is an opportunity to be there for her. In the summer of 2021, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This fall she has had surgery and then rounds of chemo and immuno therapy at the Delnor Cancer Center. 

 

Jen has been able to rent a "cold cap" at Delnor, part of the scalp cooling technology available at the Delnor Cancer Center.  By using the cold cap, she's been able to keep the majority of her hair during her treatments. We'd like to raise funds to be able to donate one in her name to Delnor for others to be able to rent. The cost of a new cold cap is around $4,000.  

 

We are a part of a very caring and supportive community of family, friends, and students. We want to be able to pay it forward to others so that those who are fighting cancer can also have the benefits of utilizing a cold cap during their treatment.
