Eric's heart valve replacement

Eric Hayes is a 43 year old husband and step-dad. During a pre-employment physical, doctors found a major heart defect. Now, unable to work, Eric is facing a long recovery. Surgery was done on September 11th. Doctors replaced his aortic valve and had to drain fluid and blood from his heart due to enlargement. When Eric comes home, he will be on blood thinners and beta blockers for the rest of his life. He will not be able to work or do anything for about 3 months. Our lives have been turned upside down.
