Angela is currently fighting round two with a very rare cancer, Myxioinflamatory fibroblastic sarcoma. Re-diagnosed when her second baby was six weeks old, she and my son have incurred numerous medical and travel expenses to see her specialists in Houston, TX. Angie will be having an amputation between her wrist and elbow in the next two weeks and it will require a longer stay and be very expensive for the family. They would also really benefit from some assistance to purchase a prosthetic hand. Insurance will cover some of the cost but initially was, and may still be, looking at providing a body powered hook. We are hoping to raise enough money to provide a more natural and/or robotic prosthetic in order to keep her quality of life as normal as possible. Angela has two babies at home; a two year old, and a four month old. They don’t want to ask for help financially, but would be appreciative of any donations no matter how small the amount. Travel costs to the specialist in Houston have already exceeded $7000 and are climbing. The cost of the prosthetic hands average around 85,000.
