Coffee House Cafe's Employee COVID-19 Support Fund

Unfortunately, Coffee House Cafe is temporarily closed due to unexpected circumstances from the Coronavirus pandemic. Our sales plummeted by almost 90% when the government ordered dining rooms closed, and while we tried to keep business going with with takeout and delivery, we weren't able to make this viable fast enough. Additionally, with the virus curve rapidly evolving and personal freedoms becoming uncertain, it was most important to consider the greater good for employees and have them concentrate on their health, safety and families. Like many other owners in the restaurant industry, it breaks my heart to see our hard working employees temporarily out of work without an income source to make it through this difficult time.
Over the last several months and especially this last week, I've seen humbling generosity from our employees towards their coworkers, guests and myself. It's times like these that show you who people really are, and our employees are truly caring and conscientious even under difficult circumstances. Not only have they come together as a team investing in the rebuild of Coffee House Cafe for our Far North Dallas community, but I've seen them grow into a bonded family. I've watched employees offer to step aside so their coworkers can make money for survival, provide heartwarming emotional support for each other, bring gratitude and uplift guests in this crazy time, and I've seen tremendous efforts to profusely clean and sanitize everything possible at a reduced rate for us to try and survive another day. I'm greatly inspired by their genuine humanity and beyond blessed and proud to have them as our crew.
Someday, hopefully soon, we will all be back together serving you coffee and brunch with a smile and today's headlines in a rear view mirror. We plan to survive and reopen if at all possible. I'm thankful for the support over the last several months as a new Texan, and I'm grateful to be part of this amazing community. As we step into unprecedented times, I'd like to provide this outlet for our community to show their appreciation and generosity to the Coffee House Cafe employees and give them your best wishes and encouraging support. There are no jobs in this decimated industry, and unemployment will only pay a fraction of wages and not enough for them to make ends meet.
Please be assured 100% of donations will go directly and fairly to our Coffee House Cafe employees. Nothing will go to the owner or for any other purpose.
