On Friday, October 14, 2016, Todd Code was injured when the ATV he was driving went off the side of a gravel road near Warroad, MN and crashed into a tree. Todd's son Eric was riding on the back of the ATV. Kim, Todd's wife and Eric's girlfriend were following in a side by side ATV and were able to get help.
Both Todd and Eric were air lifted to the hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Eric had a huge gash on his head that needed stitches, he was also treated for a concussion. Todd suffered a major head injury, he had surgery Friday night to take care of a blood clot behind his left temple which is fractured along with other bones in the face. He also fractured one arm. Todd had a seizure when his was airlifted to the hospital. So, to help with the brain swelling, he was placed in an induced coma for a few days. Todd is currently awake and breathing on his own. He is still in the hospital one week later recovering.
Todd, Kim and their sons, Brent and Eric, are from Northfield MN, so they have the added expense for hotel, food , etc. while they stay in North Dakota with Todd. Along with all the medical bills they will inquire from this accident.
Both Todd and Kim work for the facilities department at St Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Todd and his family are very kind and generous people. They are always one of the first people to offer help when needed.
