COD Nursing Ceremony 2017

Donation protected

The pinning ceremony is rich in symbolism and dates back to the 1860s when Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, was awarded the Red Cross of St. George in recognition of her tireless service to the injured during the Crimean war. To share the honor, she, in turn, presented a medal of excellence to her brightest graduates.

We are asking for your help in funding our pinning ceremony and making it memorable for our graduating class. Your donation will help pay for our venue, professional nursing photos, nursing pins, lab coats, and celebration. Unfortunately, the college doesn't fund this ceremony for the students, and the cost falls back on each of us.

This ceremony is more than just a graduation. It symbolizes the countless hours of studying and work we have put in for lecture, lab, clinicals, exams, and community care over the past 2 years.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 by November 1st, 2017 to ensure that we have time to secure our expenses.

We, the College of DuPage Nursing class of 2017, would like to thank you in advance for your generous donation, whether big or small. We are grateful for your support in our journey to becoming a nurse.
