Help Coach Harry Yonezawa beat cancer

Hi, this is Tomio. With a heavy heart but with lots of hope, I have started a Go Fund Me account for our dear friend, Sachiya "Harry" Yonezawa. Harry came into our lives last year as a volunteer coach with our Asahi Baseball Association. His energy and love for baseball, which began in Japan, was felt by all our members, coaches and players.

Last fall, he asked to speak with me... he said he had something serious to talk about...I had no idea.

Harry has stage 4 cellular carcinoma cancer.

At 23 years of age, he is fighting each day and appreciates what each day gives him.

He has just completed his 4th round of chemotherapy here in Vancouver and may need to endure another round before his surgery in February.

We are raising money for him to pay for the costly post-Chemo injections and other related expenses. Additionally, his mother is coming from Japan to be by his side and we would like to help out as much as we can.

During his year in Canada, Harry has been so appreciative of what he's been able to experience. He's been able to see the Northern Lights, the Rocky Mountains, take in an MLB game and see the snow fall in Vancouver. He recently told me that continuing to live to be able to ring in the New Year was one of his goals. He said he's not giving up and would like to help out his beloved community by coaching young Canadian baseball players, volunteering to pick up litter and would love to give out Free Hugs again.
