Coach Aly

For those of you who don’t know, this is coach Aly.

Coach Aly has loved softball since 5 years old. She played up until college when she suffered a career-ending injury to her shoulder due to poor pitching mechanics she was taught. She made it her mission to study and teach natural body movement for pitching as to not let any other pitchers’ dreams be ruined by injury. Eventually, Aly left her secure corporate job to pursue her passion for coaching and mentoring. Aly works with softball pitchers from elementary school age through college age. Several of her high school students have committed to playing softball in college.

Last weekend, Aly was at a softball tournament with her high school girls and was in severe pain. She fought through the pain until returning home where it became unbearable and she had taken herself to the Emergency Room. After testing, scans, and procedures to help alleviate the discomfort temporarily, a large mass was discovered on her ovary. Aly must undergo surgery on April 6th to remove the mass which could possibly be cancerous.

Please pray with me that no cancer is found and that once this mass is removed Aly will have a speedy recovery and this would be the end of her scary ordeal.
