It is safe to say that Gus, my min pin, is one of my best friends. I took on the endeavor of moving to a new city where I knew no one and had a fresh start, which is exactly what I wanted. I adopted Gus to gain a companion but I gained much more than that- I now had a "road dog." He made Reno, NV home and we explored the city together. We grew in this city together.
On the night of August 2nd, 2014, I left my apartment to pick up a friend from the airport, thinking that Gus would be in good hands. I was gone a mere 20 minutes and came back to a real life nightmare. My irresponsible “friends” had paid little to no attention to my best friend and left the door open, allowing him to run outside. This devastating news hit me like a semi truck, leaving me heart broken and worried for Gus, out on the streets alone and in danger.
I searched for Gus, networked via social media, called around and ultimately refused to give up. I could never give up on my best friend. I could not imagine losing my best friend.
On Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 I got the good news that Gus had been found but he was badly injured and we were not sure how severe his injuries were. After meeting with a number of doctors I found out that Gus needed surgery at the Klaich animal hospital.
I am not one to ask for help but Gus is family and he needs your help. There is nothing I would not do for this little guy. I know many of you have pets who are your four legged family members and we all could not imagine not having them in their life.
Any donation made will go to Gus’ medical bills and whatever is left will be donated to the local shelter that found Gus.
