McCance & Cooke: 'Defeat The Peaks' challenge for Macmillan!
Donation protected
Myself, Lucy, and Frazer, will be taking part in 'Defeat The Peaks: Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) At Night Challenge' on 6th September to raise crucial funds for Macmillan Cancer Support!
Having witnessed many members of our families battle, live with, overcome, and in some cases sadly lose their fight to cancer, this cause is deeply meaningful and special to us all.
We would love for you to support us in our challenge by donating what you can, with all funds going directly to Macmillan.
If you are struggling to decide how much to give, or wondering how your money will be spent, below are some key statistics from Macmillan about how crucial these funds are and how they support those living with cancer:
£14 - Means we can provide essential emotional support to a person living with cancer through a session with a Macmillan Telephone Buddy.
£20 - Could help run our Online Community forum for 1 hour. In this time, 100 people affected by cancer in the UK can give emotional and practical support to each other on anything to do with cancer – from treatments, to coping with everyday life, to the death of a loved one.
£36 - Can fund a Macmillan nurse for an hour, providing crucial medical, practical, and emotional support.
£60 - Can fund a mindfulness session, for up to 20 patients.
