Rodney Lyttles Journey

Hello to all my family and friends! As you may or may not all know my Father Rodney Lyttle is battling Cancer yet again! He was first diagnosed January 12,2012 at the Royal Alexander Hospital as he underwent an fluroscopy exam where it showed a large mass of 7cm in his esophagus! With little to no symptoms previous this was a shock to are family! He was unable to eat much and swallowing was becoming an issue along with weight loss we didnt think it would come to this. He completed a large amount of treatments, radiation and Chemo in hopes to shrink the tumor before his long 8hr surgery to remove the whole esophagus leaving us to believe that the cancer no longer appears! My father is a fighter, his strength and will power is unlike no other ,he is a true hero in my eyes! He never gave up and only wanted the best out of life and to be healthy and happy was his priority! With months of recovering and endless appointments he was in remission as of October of 2012. We thanked god everyday for this blessing he granted us with to save my fathers life to overcome this illness and to move forward and enjoy being granted another day! He is a hardworking loving husband and father and grandfather and all he wants is to make us happy. To have to suffer from an illness and not being able to do the things he does on a regular basis has taken a tole on him. We ask God why ? Why us why him? We dont understand and noone does . God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers and my father is one of them! As of June 1st 2014 we were faced with something we never wanted to deal with again! Cancer :( My father was experiencing headaches , drowisness , disoriented and confused his left side was numb and we rushed him to emergency where he had a ct scan of the brain and they discovered a large soft ball like tumor on the frontal cerebrum! The tumor was so large it pushed against all the parts of the brain causing him to have a migraine that just wouldnt dissappear! the large amount of blood and the pain he was experiencing was unbearable. My father had a tube placed on the right side of his brain that night and underwent surgery the following morning where the Surgeons were quite worried if he would make it out! With tons of tears and anixety going on whether he'll be okay or not was the longest 2 hours we had to experience again. He then recovered fine but they had left a small piece of the tumor in his brain as it was too risky to remove the whole mass without causing major damage and a possible harsh stroke! Recovering from this was fine and his appeitite was back and the swelling of his brain and incision were healing good. 2 weeks later he experienced another painful headache and overly tired! He wasnt eating much again and had little to no energy, we rushed him back into the hospital where they assessed and performed a Ct scan, this Ct scan showed a hemorrhage of the brain, therefore there was a large amount of blood contained in a cavity of his brain causing alot of pressure and swelling! With no sleep , depressed and worried wondering why God is pushing us so hard and giving my Father so many battles we can comprehend WHY! August 5th was are Cross Cancer date! Thinking positive and hoping for a quick recovering are whole lives turned upside down on this day! The latest Ct scan done last week gave the radiation Oncologist a view of what can be done for the remaining tumor left. What it felt like in that dark cold room was that my father is in pallative state and his cancer is stage 4! Meaning they do all they can but the illness cannot be cured. Feeling numb ,at a loss for words and a million answers we cannot speak! My sweet loving humble and hardworking father that i can never let go of is sitting there quiet :( my heart is crushed my whole world is him and he cant let go! So now we live on hope and pray each and everyday for life all he wants is to get back to work to be able to drive to go shopping and live the way everyone does! At 56 years old hes become a hero..to his family and friends we love you for sticking by us when we feel like giving up to helping us in such a difficult time and for all the laughs and memories along this journey we cant thank you enough. In the midst of all this and going through trauma my parents are selling theyre home , with bills , the mortgage and living day to day it has become a struggle my mother has limited time off and does not get paid caring for my father.we would appreciate a donation and want to thank you for listening , understanding and loving us along the way. We dont believe that this will overcome us and we will continue to cure My fathers cancer through home remedies and supporting him anyway possible he will fight till the end! We need 40 more years of life with him and i believe with his dedication it can happen. Please pray for him and for are family as its the toughest trial we've experienced , please help us in anyway you can and we thank you from the bottom of are hearts! positive vibes and blessings are all we are living on! Thank you, and we love you all so very much! Cheers
