♥️ Cathy Kirby 1975-2020~Gone too Early♥️

The sudden death of my dear friend, Cathy Kirby has left many in the community and beyond absolutely devastated. On Friday evening, January 10th, Cathy and her sister were at Akwesasne Casino for the night. She wasn’t feeling well and went up to bed. In the morning she wasn’t answering calls or texts, that’s when her sister knew something was not right. Her door was locked so her sister had to call the front desk, they found Cathy around 11:30am, she had passed away in her sleep. Her sudden death at the age of 44 is just heartbreaking. Cathy was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont and left behind her beautiful daughters, Maranda Bessette &(26) Myra Bessette (21), her best friend and husband, Jay and her fur baby, Oliver. As soon as they got married Jay almost died and was immediately brought to the hospital. They found he needed a new ❤️ heart as soon as possible. This put the newly married couple into a difficult situation financially with all of the doctors appointments and Jay not feeling . They made all of the appointments and did this all and more with the brightest, biggest smiles and out of control belly laughs! Cathy has many people she has worked with throughout the years that will miss her dearly as well. The crew at Applebee’s, where are daughter Maranda currently works and at Dominos on North Ave. and Dominos in Essex where she recently transferred to. She was the hardest worker, working 6 days a week, 50 or more hours to take care of bills, play some bingo and make sure she had money when her daughters needed extra help. I remember when Maranda, her daughter had gotten a puppy and needed some emergency treatments at the vet. Without hesitation, Cathy knew she was going to work even harder to have the money to help take care of the vet bills. Cathy was the best team player. Her love for Bingo is how we met. She loved to playing and was so good. She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing until she cried and making everyone else in the room do the same. Cathy was the best listener, funnest person and made any day and anytime the best it could be. If you needed a laugh you would want to be with her. She didn’t judge and had a heart of GOLD!!

Her daughters have the paperwork for the services and the bills are piling up, over       $15,000 and that doesn’t even include her stone. Cathy would never want her daughters to go into debt trying to make her funeral and services the best-because that is what Cathy deserves! Please help if you can!
