"Clowns & Otters" Comedy Play Premiere Fund

Hi, my name is Christine and I'm the writer/director of the absurd comedy play "Clowns & Otters." It's set to premiere at the Broadway Comedy Club in Manhattan on March 20th, but we need your help!

 

An unlikely meeting between a clown and an otter ensues. Clowns have DO sex and did you know that otters have a thing for baby seals? But besides their perverted sides, they share their philosophies and approaches to fun and play. A clown pimp and a couple of shock jocks also make appearances, but we won't spoil it. I'm working with the talented and hilarious actors Jess Appel and Abigail Gabor to bring this weirdo play to life. I had the joy of working with both of them in my play "Forget Fairytales," which had a sold-out premiere at the Broadway Comedy Club in January and an awesome reprise there in February.

 

Here's what we will use these funds for:

 

• director & actor stipends

• rehearsal costs

• costumes

• props

• printing playbills

• printing show posters to sign & sell at the merchandise table
• professional video documentation of the play

 

It's all behind the scenes so you might not suspect it, but there are so many upfront costs with putting on a show. We appreciate your support so much!
