Clothing Bins for Real-Life Thrift

Tax deductible
Thanks for all who donated to help us purchase shelving and equipment for the Real-Life Thrift. The dream is becoming a reality as we have started moving into our new space and hope to open the store soon. One item we need are clothing bins (pictured below) to help with sorting donations. We need 4 total and they unfortunately aren't cheap. So, any amount you can give towards buying these bins is greatly appreciated.

Every penny helps further our mission of providing employment opportunities and soft-skill training to adults with developmental disabilities, such as autism, Fragile-X, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury.

Statistically, for far too many adults with developmental disabilities employment options are limited or nonexistent, among this capable population. Incredibly, people with autism have a 90% unemployment rate according to the National Foundation for Autism Research. Currently in Wake County, 46% of adults, ages 21 to 64, with disabilities are not employed. Further, 75% of adults with developmental disabilities are in need of vocational and other individual services in Wake County. (Disability POPULATION Statistics for Wake County, North Carolina from Pooled 2005-2007 ACS PUMS Data).

Real-Life Thrift will address a critical need in Wake County by providing jobs opportunities and training, for a population that is grossly underserved in these areas. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
