Cleveland's open heart surgery fund.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Wednesday May 29th around 5pm my life changed forever. It wasn't an invitation for an exhibition, nor some child I have mentored graduating from college. Not a grant nor magazine article. No... MAY 29TH 2019 AROUND 5PM I SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK. I am 44 years old. this isn't good. June 4th I had triple bypass surgery. Huh. I am starting this go fund me for several simple reasons. I'm scared and I have no money. THIS AMOUNT WILL NO WHERE NEAR COVER ALL THE EXPENSES I WILL INCUR. THIS ASK IS TO GIVE ME SOME PEACE OF MIND. People have misguided beliefs about artists lives. The romanticized ideas of the artist life are far from reality. At least my reality. I live in my work studio and due to slow sales this year I am greatly behind on rent. This place is already not the best environment nor a good place to recover after surgery. My work efforts will be greatly reduced because of this surgery. I have no insurance so this surgery will have to come out of my pocket. Programs are being applied for but...we know how that works. I am reminiscing my best year ever in 2018 and am now living, in many ways, my worst year ever in 2019. I need help. Never have I been shown so much appreciation for me as well as my work. I look now to see how that translates when I am the one that needs the help. Anything helps. My total bill will be so astronomical I don't know what to set as a goal. All i know is i need help. Literally millions of people have enjoyed my work... i humbly ask you to help me continue to enjoy life, mine.
