Hello!
My name is Henry Baddour and I am the founder of CleftProud. CleftProud is a non-profit that aims to be an educational and emotional resource for anyone affected by Cleft Lip and Palate. We are now the largest community related to Cleft Lip and Palate with over 75,000 members!
As someone who has a Cleft Lip and Palate, it is my goal to encourage people to be proud of who they are and what they look like. I want people to remember that their differences have made them stronger. To that end, I created the CleftProud community as well as wristbands with inspirational slogans to encourage people to be a part of our community and to be proud of who they are.
We have distributed wristbands and connected with people from 100 countries and every US State and are the most followed Cleft community on social media. We have forged partnerships with several Craniofacial Teams in the US (where most patients with Clefts go for help with various aspects of the condition) to distribute wristbands to patients. Our wristbands and our community are having a positive impact:

We were given the CleftProud bracelets when we visited the UNC team on Tuesday. I am sitting here in tears because your bio touched my heart. It reminds me of the challenges my children have faced. You are a hero! You embrace who you are and accept that it is not always the easiest thing to do or explain. - V. Artis”
