In memoriam of Claudia Amezcua

On Saturday past, our friend, Benjamin Villanueva, announced the departure of his mother, Claudia Amezcua, whose spirit has winged its flight into a brighter world beyond. Her death occurred on Friday, 23 March 2018, after much suffering and loss of sight in recent years. She was but forty-eight years old. Such are the words that Benjamin related to his friends:
“I lost an important woman in my life. She always pushed me to be a better me. My mother meant the world to me. She loved her children, Monica Katt, Jenifer Villanueva, Claudia Villanueva and Grecia Villanueva. I’m grateful to have this woman who battled so many ailments in her life. She was my example in life. As it is always hard to say goodbye, I know she watches my sisters and me from a spiritual realm.”
As the daughter of a Guatemalan immigrants, Claudia worked with little means to rear her children and keep them secure and safe. She met many challenges in her life.
This post is on behalf of Benjamin and his sisters who are seeking help in raising funds to bury their mother with dignity. Benjamin, who is the first in his family to achieve a college education and has accomplished much to benefit others and his community. Yet, he is still a student with little revenue. His sisters have large families and limited means. Family members have contributed to the extent possible but have fallen short of funeral, medical and other expenses accrued.
Not all who have received this request will have the ability to contribute financially. Yet posting a message of support, will be much appreciated by Benjamin and his family.

El sábado pasado, nuestro amigo, Benjamín Villanueva, anunció la partida de su madre, Claudia Amezcua, cuyo espíritu ha alado su vuelo a un mundo más brillante más allá. Su muerte ocurrió el viernes 23 de marzo de 2018, después de mucho sufrimiento y pérdida de la vista en los últimos años. Ella solo tenía cuarenta y ocho años. Tales son las palabras que Benjamin relacionó con sus amigos:
"Perdí a una mujer importante en mi vida. Ella siempre me empujó a ser mejor que yo. Mi madre significaba el mundo para mí. Ella amaba a sus hijos, Monica Katt, Jenifer Villanueva, Claudia Villanueva y Grecia Villanueva. Estoy agradecido de tener a esta mujer que luchó tantas dolencias en su vida. Ella fue mi ejemplo en la vida. Como siempre es difícil decir adiós, sé que ella nos mira a mis hermanas y a mí desde un ámbito espiritual ".
Como hija de inmigrantes guatemaltecos, Claudia trabajaba con pocos medios para criar a sus hijos y mantenerlos seguros y a salvo. Ella conoció muchos desafíos en su vida.
Esta publicación es en nombre de Benjamin y sus hermanas que están buscando ayuda para recaudar fondos para enterrar a su madre con dignidad. Benjamin, quien es el primero en su familia en lograr una educación universitaria y ha logrado mucho en beneficio de los demás y su comunidad.
