"We Do It Together (Or Not At All)"

Olá, pessoal! Estou pedindo ajuda nessa campanha pra financiar meu curta-metragem que vou filmar no final de abril, e que será meu trabalho de conclusão do curso que estou fazendo na The New School, em Nova York. Quem conhece minha jornada sabe que abri mão da minha carreira e do conforto do meu lar no Brasil pra vir realizar o sonho de ser cineasta. Agora estou na etapa final do curso e só falta finalizar esse filme de dez minutos, intitulado “We Do It Together (Or Not At All)”, ou “Fazemos Juntas (Ou de Jeito Nenhum)”. Quando pronto, vamos inscrever o filme em festivais e apresentá-lo mundo afora. A quem puder, qualquer ajuda será muitíssimo bem-vinda, não importa a quantia! Todos os contribuintes vão ter seus nomes nos créditos finais, além da minha gratidão e amizade eternas.

Esta comédia será estrelada por minha irmã Helena Borges a por mim, e conta a história de duas irmãs sonhadoras que acabaram de chegar em Nova York. Toda a equipe de produção será composta por mulheres. Como cineasta mulher latino-americana, inclusão racial e de gênero é uma de minhas maiores prioridades no set.

Hello, everyone! I’m asking for help in this campaign to finance my short film that I’ll be shooting at the end of April, and that will be my final project for the course I’m taking at The New School, in New York. Those who know about my journey know that I gave up my career and the comfort of my home in Brazil to realize my dream of being a filmmaker in New York. Now I’m at the final stage of my program and all that I need to do is finish this ten-minute film, called “We Do It Together (Or Not At All)”. After it’s ready, we’ll send it to festivals and introduce it around the world. For those who can help, any amount will be truly appreciated, no matter how much! All contributors will have their names on the final credits, besides my eternal gratitude and friendship.

This comedy will star my sister Helena Borges and myself, and it’s about two dreamer sisters who have just arrived in New York City. All of the crew members will be women. As a female Latin-American filmmaker, racial and gender inclusion is one of my top priorities on set.
