Clarence H. Johnson passed away in a tragic hit and run accident the morning of October 31, 2016. Clarence was 41 years old and is survived by his parents, Sonia A. Johnson and Casper D. Johnson, sisters, Lolita J. Hoffmann and Darlene G. Johnson, wife, Marlena O. Johnson, and children -- Cezanne, Matisse, and Miro.
Clarence graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in History. Additional postgraduate certifications were completed in Montessori education where his career flourished as a teacher, administrator, and director. Most recently he took a sabbatical from Montessori schools to focus on his role as a father and pursue his master's in Business Administration from St. Leo University. Clarence was also bilingual in English and Spanish and proficient in Italian.
Clarence believed in pursuing happiness and was an avid traveller who found joy in music, food, and art. He immersed himself in all aspects of life and engulfed all of those around him in his vivacious and energetic personality.
The family has established a GoFundMe account named the Clarence H. Johnson Scholarship. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to this fund, whose mission is provide a scholarship to an underprivileged student to attend Clarence's alma mater, Jesuit High School.
