Clare Camogie Ditch the Hurleys Challenge

From Tuesday 5th of May to Monday 11th of May the Clare Camogie Team, along with their management, are ditching their hurleys and running a combined 1,000km in a week. This challenge is to raise much needed funds for the following three charities:
- Irish Cancer Society
-Jigsaw
-Sláinte an Chláir

How to join your CountyTeam and #DitchTheHurleys for charity:


Tuesday will be a day for all schools colleges and work colleagues to participate, get outside and take on the challenge along with the girls.

We are asking players involved at all levels throughout the week to support us and so we are nominating Wednesday coming as a #ClubJerseyDay. With this we are asking each club to get their players/juveniles involved in running on the day with their club colours on and to upload their videos/photos to us on Instagram/ Twitter/ Facebook with the hashtag #ditchthehurleys. We would also ask that you promote the fundraiser on each of your own social media accounts and Whatsapp Groups!

On Thursday we are asking all of our past county players to get involved in a similar way with videos posted up of their various runs.

On Friday we are asking all of our county juvenile teams to get involved in a similar way with videos posted up of their various runs.


As a group we feel this is a great opportunity to not only raise much needed funds but also to highlight the wonderful players we have on our county team.
