Cambodia Bound!

Dear faithful prayer warriors,


Thank you for your continued prayers for God's direction for me. After years of desiring God to direct my path, I ended up 9,000 miles away from my comfort zone, in Cambodia. Oddly, even though I was in a culture that I had never experienced, with a language that I had never spoken, I felt completely at home. This year, after returning to the States following my second two-week trip to Cambodia, I felt the calling to serve there long term. During the process of researching organizations, I found Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I felt that YWAM was exactly where I needed to be. Their heart for the country of Cambodia mirrors my own. To work with this organization, you must first serve six months with their Discipleship Training School (DTS). After applying for the DTS and waiting for two months, I want to let you know that God, in His perfect timing, has opened up the door for me to serve with YWAM in Cambodia. I start the DTS in Battambang on Dec. 27!


This may seem quick, but I prayed for open doors, and God delivered! There is much to do over the next two months to prepare for my time in Cambodia. Please pray for me in the following areas:


Pray for continued wisdom and direction.
Pray for peace and a calm heart. Although I know this is exactly where God is leading me, it is a very BIG change with a lot of details to figure out.
Pray that I will be able to raise the support it will take for me to live in Cambodia for six months. The DTS school, living expenses, country visas and the cost of the flight is near $8,000.
Pray for the leaders of YWAM Battambang as they prepare the DTS school.


My heart is so full right now: beyond grateful for God answering the prayers of so many, and blessed to know that my path is not only directed by God, but supported by the encouragement and love of others. Thank you for praying for me. Your kindness and generosity is appreciated more than words can entirely express.
