Claire Parr medical expenses

HERE is the story/ update: My name is Tom Callahan and this fund was started to help Claire Parr with her on going medical bills. I have been friends and a colleague of Claire’s for over 30 years. She has been a blessing to all her friends, family and clients and so many have asked how to help. The funds will be used to help with growing medical bills including spinal taps, MRI’s, expensive medication, PET scans, feeding tubes and other medical needs that are not covered by insurance or fall under the high deductible. The medical bills can be staggering even with good insurance. Claire has been a friend to so many along the way and this is a way we can help her. The funds are directly distributed and go directly to only paying medical bills. THANK YOU so much for all your support. No donation is too small we are only $4,500 away from our goal.

A GO FUND page has been set up for our dear friend Claire Parr. 
Many of you know that in December of 2018, Claire Parr had to stop working due to the rupture of 3 discs in her back.
She went to Howell Allen Spine clinic in Nashville and began a series of spinal surgeries that were not successful.  
 
She was operated on December 13th, again on December 18th, and in January of 
2019, the decision was made to fuse her lower spine.  Unfortunately she had already suffered permanent nerve
damage to her left sciatic nerve and leg, and the fusion surgery was complicated.
 
To further complicate her medical needs she had to undergo a routine upper GI Endoscopy to look at ulcers in her
stomach and intestine and her stomach was accidentally perforated.  She wound up contracting sepsis
(which is a huge full body and blood infection), and had to have emergency abdominal surgery to repair
the tear.  She had to have have a feeding tube installed to provide nutrition during the healing and went
to ICU and then to the surgical floor of Presbyterian hospital in Dallas for a month.  
 
Unfortunately she had to shut her life down in Nashville and move back to Dallas to be with the team of doctors
who helped to save her.  She cut back her life, packed and moved back to Texas with the help of her
friends and moved to Fort Worth to be near her college aged son, who graduates from TCU in May.  
She is facing hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical costs for charges not covered by her insurance, 
and she is also unable to work full time due to her ongoing problems.  She has been declared inoperable 
with her intestinal issues, and the feeding tube is now permanent requiring expensive liquid nutrition and 
medical supplies (pumps, bags, etc).  In addition, she has not been able to heal her spinal problems and 
is facing ongoing tests and procedures.
 
She has done all she can by selling most of her jewelry and home possessions, and now we are putting together a fund to help
her with living expenses and with her going medical costs.  She will be facing tens of thousands of dollars
out of pocket this coming year, and we are asking friends, family and all those who Claire has contributed to
in the course of her long history in the music industry to considering donating anything to help in this 
battle.  She has been a good friend to so so many people and is so grateful for your prayers now hopefully along with those prayers we can help with her on going medical needs.
